Threads of Change: Closing the Shop to Create at Home
It has just been over a week now since I have closed the doors and walked away from the shop…you think I would be sad….not one little bit!!
I feel liberated not tied to a shop, I feel liberated that I have sold and given away so much of my stuff and life is simpler. Geoffrey gets to hang with Mum and Dads dog all day in the back yard and get as much sun as he wants ( ok ok this rain is pretty crazy) let’s rephrase this… Geoffrey gets to dig as many holes as he likes in Mum and dads back yard.
I am working out of Mum and Dads garage and it is nice not be up before the sparrows and at the shop sewing. You guys have been great in supporting me, although I have made no website sales, the personal messages for current stock and stock being made are awesome. How good is direct bank deposit!! My designs go straight onto socials within seconds.
Audrey thinks she is pretty smart and is walking lots. Her favorite food is still an arrowroot biscuit, and she loves her to visit to Greenhill with Mum and Dad for sugar free doughnuts
I worked on some more terry toweling hair turbans, wheat bags and of course my popular shower caps. Next I have to keep working on the backlog of orders from the shop, cable/cord and peg bags. I am waiting on 2026 diaries to arrive so I can start on them
Anyways I am off to Hammer barn now to get a baby gate, the house is like Fort now I swear
Lotsa love, Alie Jane, Audrey and Geoffrey x
